Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Edward and Alphonse Elric break taboo to revive their mother and pay with a lost arm and leg and a body bound to armor. They join the State Military to seek a Philosopher’s Stone and uncover the Military’s war crimes in Ishval and a network of homunculi serving a being called Father. Xing visitors Ling and Mei bring new alchemy while Mustang and Scar trade wounds for clues. Tunnels outline a circle under Amestris. On the Promised Day a solar eclipse powers Father’s nationwide transmutation, but Hohenheim’s counter weakens him. Al gives his soul to restore Ed’s arm and trusts his brother to finish the fight. Ed bargains at the Gate, gives up alchemy, and brings Al back. Father falls, the circle is broken, and the brothers choose to rebuild through study and work instead of miracles.
