Steins;Gate

Rintaro Okabe runs a tiny lab in Akihabara with Mayuri Shiina and Itaru Hashida, chasing odd inventions under a chuunibyo persona. After he finds Kurisu Makise apparently dead at a lecture, a text he sends is received before he wrote it. The lab discovers their hacked microwave can send messages to the past. Small changes snowball: lottery nudges, a friend’s gender wish, a daughter saved. Each D mail shifts the worldline and draws the attention of SERN, whose surveillance turns experiments into raids and arrests. A part time clerk named Suzuha reveals herself as a traveler from a bleak future and names Okabe as the only one who can steer between lines. No matter what he tries, Mayuri dies on this attractor field. To escape, he must undo every change the lab made, even the ones that granted people their dearest wishes. The last lock is Kurisu’s fate. With Suzuha’s help and a message from his future self, Okabe stages a perfect deception to fool the past and reach a line where both friends can live.
