Fate/Zero

Ten years before Fate stay night, the Fourth Holy Grail War erupts in Fuyuki. Kiritsugu Emiya enters as Sabers master while Irisviel carries the Grails role, and rival pairs gather, including Tokiomi Tohsaka with Archer Gilgamesh and Kirei Kotomine, Waver Velvet with Rider Iskandar, Kayneth El Melloi with Lancer Diarmuid, Kariya Matou with Berserker, and serial killer Ryuunosuke Uryuu with Caster. Kiritsugu fights with ruthless tactics as Saber duels Lancer and Archer, and Caster’s murders lead to a giant sea monster that forces a temporary alliance to stop it. Gilgamesh tempts Kirei, alliances collapse, and Kayneth falls. In the end Kiritsugu rejects the Grail as corrupted, orders Saber to destroy it, and the outflow of its tainted mud triggers a citywide fire. Kirei survives and Gilgamesh gains a physical body. Kiritsugu searches the ruins, rescues a boy, and adopts him as Shirou, while Saber vanishes in despair.
