Deep Insanity: The Lost Child

The world of Deep Insanity: The Lost Child has already grown used to living on the brink of catastrophe: humanity is exhausted by war, fear and a new disease that has been named Randolph syndrome. It strikes without warning, robbing people of their sanity, plunging them into an unbreakable coma, and sometimes turning its victims into something that barely resembles a human being anymore. The source of the disaster has been found in a place where the Earth itself seems alien and dead: Antarctica, beneath whose icy crust a gigantic underground world called the Asylum has opened up. Its depths lure scientists, soldiers, corporations and adventurers alike, for hidden there are unknown resources, strange forms of life and, perhaps, the key to saving millions. But every descent is like a bargain with madness. Into this perilous zone comes a newcomer, Shigure Daniel Kai, a young man who dreams of becoming a hero and joins the Sleepers, fighters who venture to a place from which many never return.
