Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing

Ichika Hoshino hears an unfamiliar Miku song in a Shibuya shop and glimpses a version of Miku that slips between screens. Across town five teen groups make music with Virtual Singers inside Sekai that mirror their feelings. The wandering Miku comes from a bleak Sekai where her song cannot reach its creators. She asks for help and each group tries to shape a melody that can connect. Failure deepens the despair. Darkness swallows her world and spills into the others. The Mikus tied to the five Sekai vanish. A blackout hits Japan and recordings lose Miku’s voice. The bands realize they must lift the people who birthed that broken Sekai. They write and perform new songs in public and the gloom recedes. The lost Mikus return. The lonely Miku sings in Shibuya and this time her voice reaches the crowd. After a farewell in a bright Sekai she waits for the person who shaped it to step forward.
