Farewell, My Dear Cramer Movie: First Touch

The people who stay by her side have known Nozomi since the days when soccer was a free kingdom of neighborhood playgrounds. Sumire Echizen sees her pain without any loud confessions and tries to keep her friend from falling into despair, even though she knows full well that making Onda resign herself to anything is next to impossible. Tetsuji Yamada and Kaoru Takei, her teammates, are likewise torn between common sense and respect for her bold talent. They have no doubt that Nozomi can play beautifully, subtly and intelligently, but the world of sports is rarely fair to those who go up against its accepted rules. The more the people around her remind her of the difference in physical strength, the more stubbornly the desire burns within her to prove that soccer cannot be reduced to height, broad shoulders and physical pressure, and that skill and intelligence on the field still count.
