Dragon's Dogma

The last thing a young man remembers before his death is an enormous dragon tearing out his heart. Against all odds, Ethan survived, but now he must find his heart. Ahead of him lies a long journey full of danger. Along the way he meets demons, the embodiments of the seven deadly sins. It is they who will help him defeat the monster that keeps attacking the peaceful inhabitants of the settlement. The fate of the kingdom rests entirely in the hands of Ethan and the demons who accompany him. The bloodthirsty beast has blotted out the sun, and the world has been plunged into darkness, making it hard to find one's way.

When it struck, even the sharpest archers had no time to react: some died on the spot, while others managed to hide. Ethan learns of the death of his pregnant wife Olivia, yet someone insists that she is still alive. His attempts to find her lead to an encounter with the monster, during which the young man loses his heart. Now that fate has given him a second chance, he has no intention of wasting it, though at the same time he must avenge the death of his wife and unborn child. The otherworldly demons cannot break Ethan, but with each passing day he loses more of his humanity, growing ever more like his companions.
