Zatsu Tabi: That's Journey

Chika Suzugamori is a college student who wants to be a manga artist. After three new storyboards get rejected in one visit, she posts a travel poll as a joke and the replies push her out the door. With a backpack and cheap tickets she starts trips decided by strangers. Some days she goes alone. Some days she meets up with senior artist Fuyune or the bold Riri and lets their moods set small detours. She sketches between trains, eats at tiny counters, and talks to locals who point her to shrines, hot springs, and coast roads. Her editor Yoshimoto keeps calling, setting deadlines and cheering small wins. Missed buses and wrong platforms turn into notes she can use. The pages start to shift. Chika learns how to listen to a place, how to ask for help, and how to keep drawing even when the plan is messy. The journey becomes a way to stay honest with herself rather than a way to run.
