Dragon Quest: Your Story

Dragon Quest: Your Story is a 2019 3DCG feature film based on the story of the game Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, with series creator Yuji Horii credited for the original work and Koichi Sugiyama's well-known music.

As a boy, Luca travels the world with his father Pankraz, who is searching for his lost wife. Their journey ends in tragedy at the hands of the evil Ladja, and Luca's childhood is torn apart. Years later, now a young man, he takes up his father's mission: to find the legendary hero who can wield the Zenithian sword and rescue his mother from Ladja's grasp.

Along the way Luca reunites with his childhood friend Bianca, meets the gentle Nera, and must make choices that will shape the rest of his life, while gathering companions, including friendly monsters, for the battles ahead. The film condenses a story that spans a whole lifetime into a single adventure, combining classic Dragon Quest fantasy with a personal tale of family, love and growing up.
