Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion

As the thirteenth century drew to a close, the Mongol horde invaded Japan. Its ranks included Japanese, Koreans and Chinese, and the entire force acted under the command of Kublai Khan. The islands of Tsushima and Iki were the first to feel the brunt of the invasion. Kuchii was a former vassal who had served under a renowned samurai. He was exiled to the island of Tsushima after committing a crime, and he and other convicts were required to serve out their sentences there. Yet Tsushima was not only a place for criminals; there were also plenty of travelers on the islands.

When Kublai invaded, fate decreed that they would all be right there. Then came the ruthless invaders. To drive out the Mongols, everyone had to join forces. The islanders had no idea where to hide, and the Mongols intended to spare no one. Prisoners and travelers were forced to act together, united by fate for this very purpose. A full-scale war broke out on a fairly small patch of land. Now everyone who happened to be on the island of Tsushima at that moment had no idea how long it would last. Their lives had all been staked as sacrifices on a single card.
