Sanda

In a near future Japan where an extreme birthrate collapse has made children a national treasure, students live under strict supervision in a closed welfare academy while adults set the rules from above. Kazushige Sanda, an ordinary middle school boy, is suddenly attacked by his classmate Shiori Fuyumura on a snowy December day. Fuyumura is convinced Sanda is the descendant of Santa Claus, a figure society has branded as a dangerous relic and pushed into myth. Her violence cracks the seal on Sanda’s body, and he discovers he can transform into Santa whenever he wears something red, gaining power that draws instant attention. Fuyumura does not want presents. She wants her missing best friend, Ichie Ono, found. Pulled into the search and hunted for what he can become, Sanda chooses to act as Santa anyway, stepping between children and the adults who would rather keep hope locked away. That decision turns the academy into a battleground as the clues about Ono lead straight into the system that raised them.
