The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch

Spica Virgo wants to enter Royal Diana Academy and become a first class mage, but she cannot use magic well enough to pass on her own. She has no master, no money, and no strong connection to open the door for her. Her goal comes from a rescue two years earlier, when the mage Claude Sirius saved her and became the person she wanted to follow. While searching for any chance to move forward, Spica meets a talking black cat that can use magic. The cat is really Claude, trapped in that form by a curse. Their needs line up. Spica needs a teacher who can help her reach the academy, and Claude needs a student whose strange power may undo the curse. After a clumsy attempt at lifting it, Claude regains enough of himself to act as her mentor, but the curse does not fully disappear.

Spica enters the academy with Claude serving as her teacher while still hiding much of his condition. Lessons turn into a daily test of control, patience, and secrecy. Spica’s Virgo Magic gives her a rare ability linked to regeneration, but her poor technique causes mistakes that can endanger her standing and expose Claude. The academy places her among students who already understand spells, rules, and rank, so she has to learn from the ground up while solving problems that stronger students treat as simple. Claude pushes her because every improvement gives him a better chance of becoming human again. Spica keeps moving through classes, rivalries, and practical trials with the same aim that brought her there. She wants to become worthy of the path Claude once represented, and he wants to break the curse without losing the student who made that path possible.
