Kill Blue

Juzo Ogami is a thirty nine year old hitman for the Z.O.O. assassin syndicate and has lived by missions instead of ordinary experience. After a job involving criminals tied to Mitsuoka Pharmaceuticals, he is stung by a strange wasp and wakes in the body of a middle school boy. His skills remain, but his size makes normal assassin work impossible. While Z.O.O. searches for a way to reverse the change, Ogami is given a different assignment. He must enter a private middle school and judge whether it is safe for his boss’s daughter. For the first time, he has to deal with classes, uniforms, lunch, clubs, and classmates instead of targets and weapons. His partner Kotatsu supports him from outside with surveillance and equipment, but Ogami has to handle most problems like a student.

School life turns into its own kind of mission. Ogami meets Noren Mitsuoka, the daughter of the pharmaceutical family connected to the experiment that changed his body, and she may be tied to the cure he needs. He also crosses paths with Shido, a talented student whose strength and instincts make him hard to fool. Ogami tries to hide his adult judgment and combat training while learning things he skipped as a child. Fights still reach him through kidnappings, rival assassins, and threats aimed at students, forcing him to use guns, tactics, and old habits without exposing the truth. The longer he stays, the less the school feels like simple cover. He starts protecting classmates because he chooses to, not only because the mission requires it, while the path back to his real age grows tangled with the same people he was sent to observe.
