Food Wars! The Second Plate

Food Wars! The Second Plate is the second season of Food Wars!, the cooking battle anime set at Tootsuki Culinary Academy, an elite school where only a small fraction of students graduate.

The preliminary rounds of the Autumn Elections are over, and only eight talented chefs remain. Now they face off in one-on-one food wars, each match built around its own theme. Souma Yukihira must take on rivals with their own specialties and impress a panel of new judges if he hopes to reach the top of both the Autumn Elections and the academy itself. Among the finalists are familiar faces such as Alice Nakiri, Ryou Kurokiba and the spice expert Akira Hayama.

After the tournament, the students are sent out on the Stagiaire, a series of internships at real restaurants where they must prove themselves in a professional kitchen. Packed with inventive dishes and over-the-top reactions, the season continues Souma's journey to surpass his father and become a top chef.
