Kusunoki's Garden of Gods

Minato Kusunoki is sent to manage an old family house deep in the countryside, a place known for being filled with evil spirits. He does not understand the scale of his own spiritual power, so when he enters the property and writes simple notes, the spirits are purified almost without effort. The house changes from a haunted burden into a clean space that attracts kami, sacred beasts, and other beings looking for rest. Yamagami, a mountain god weakened after years of neglect, appears first and explains only part of what Minato has done. Fujin, Raijin, martens, a dragon, and other visitors begin gathering around the house, while Minato tries to treat them with food, offerings, repairs, and basic hospitality rather than fear.

The garden becomes the center of a new daily life. Minato plants sacred seeds, cleans shrines, carves a nameplate to protect the house, and slowly learns that his handwriting can seal, purify, or repel things ordinary people cannot see. Exorcists such as Saiga Harima notice his power and start relying on scraps of his writing, even as Minato keeps acting like a caretaker who only wants the property to stay peaceful. Portals, neglected shrines, corrupted gods, and trapped spirits keep disturbing the area, but most problems begin as small chores. Clean a shrine. Feed a visitor. Write a note. Thank a tree. Each task reveals another layer of the unseen world around the Kusunoki residence. Minato does not set out to become a great exorcist. He builds a home where gods can gather, recover, argue, bring gifts, and slowly return balance to the land around him.
