Spirited Away

Chihiro is on the way to a new home when her family wanders into a place that feels abandoned but is not empty at all. Her parents eat food that is not meant for them and undergo a transformation that leaves Chihiro suddenly alone, panicked, and trapped in a world run by spirits. The only way to survive is to work, so she is forced into a job at a sprawling bathhouse ruled by the sorceress Yubaba, who controls people by taking their names. Chihiro has to stay sharp, earn help where she can, and hold on to who she is long enough to free her parents and find the path back.
