Qin Mu is found as an infant beside a river in the Great Ruins and raised in Disabled Elderly Village by people the outside world would call broken. The village chief, Granny Si, Blind, Cripple, Butcher, Apothecary, Deaf, Mute, and the others each carry wounds from old defeats, but they teach Qin Mu skills that no ordinary child should hold. He learns medicine, forging, movement, sword work, formations, and how to survive after dark, when the Great Ruins becomes deadly. The elders warn him not to leave at night, yet they also raise him to question rules that people repeat without understanding. When Qin Mu finally steps beyond the village, he carries their methods, their grudges, and their stubborn belief that weakness is often only a name given by someone else.

His road leads into Eternal Peace, where sects, imperial power, gods, devils, and ancient ruins all compete to define the world. Qin Mu enters conflicts through curiosity as much as ambition, helping where he can, stealing knowledge where he must, and breaking old systems when they block living people. Ling Yuxiu, Si Yunxiang, monks, officials, enemies, and travelers keep pulling him into wider struggles. The mystery of his birth grows with every clue, linking him to Youdu, buried powers, and histories that the heavens do not want remembered. Qin Mu’s strength comes less from one secret technique than from combining everything the disabled elders gave him. He walks out of a village hidden in ruin and becomes a person able to challenge the order that made so many lives small.
