Dr. Stone

A global light petrifies living beings. Senku wakes in a forest of stone and counts the days until he can move. In a cave he finds nitric acid and makes a revival fluid. He brings back Taiju and later Yuzuriha. They free Tsukasa for protection, but he decides to build a world that keeps only the young and breaks adult statues. He strikes Senku and believes the problem is solved. Taiju and Yuzuriha act as moles inside Tsukasa’s group. Senku survives and travels to hot springs country, saves Kohaku, and reaches Ishigami Village. He teams up with Chrome who loves collecting minerals and with the craftsman Kaseki. To save Ruri he follows a long path to an antibiotic and finishes a sulfa drug that cures her illness. A tournament makes Senku village chief. Ruri tells the story of astronauts who landed after the disaster and founded the village, including Senku’s father Byakuya. Senku raises the Kingdom of Science. He makes iron, generators, bulbs, glass, paper, and a battery and recruits the mentalist Gen. By the end he completes a crude radio telephone to contact Taiju and Yuzuriha and prepares to face Tsukasa’s empire.
