Parasyte: The Maxim

Shinichi Izumi survives when a parasite fails to reach his brain and instead occupies his right hand. The creature calls itself Migi, and they agree to work together to face parasites that hunt humans. Peace ends when Shinichi’s mother is killed by a parasite, and Migi’s lifesaving repair leaves Shinichi stronger and colder. At school a transfer student named Hideo Shimada exposes the danger inside the halls and turns a panic into slaughter. Kana senses something special in Shinichi, follows the wrong signal, and dies in his arms. The researcher Ryoko Tamura bears a human baby and dies protecting it, and Shinichi sees that some parasites can change. In East Fukuyama City the mayor Hirokawa shelters parasites until a police raid triggers a massacre led by the multi body enforcer Goto. Shinichi and Migi later exploit Goto’s weakness and win. Migi falls into long sleep. A human killer named Uragami tries to murder Satomi on a rooftop, and Shinichi saves her without Migi’s help.
