Death Parade

Newly dead pairs arrive at the bar Quindecim with no memory of how they died. Decim is the bartender and an arbiter who hosts games that pull out the truth. What the players reveal decides whether a soul moves on through reincarnation or falls into the void. A black haired woman later named Chiyuki becomes his assistant while she waits for her own judgment. Nona oversees the tower and quietly lets Decim grow human feelings to see if that leads to fairer calls. Other bars run in parallel, including Ginti’s room where choices turn cruel. The cases range from a tense darts match between newlyweds to air hockey that exposes revenge and guilt. In the end Decim gives Chiyuki a test that shows a door back to life at the cost of a stranger. She refuses, accepts her death, and is sent to reincarnation. Decim keeps tending the bar with a gentler smile as new guests step out of the elevator.
