Ronja the Robber's Daughter

Ronja is the daughter of a robber chieftain who commands a huge band of cunning and bloodthirsty criminals. She is the only daughter of the bandit leader and is very different from the people around her. The girl has a kind-hearted nature and is always ready to help and lend a hand in difficult times. The robber clan, and with them Ronja and her father, live in an enormous castle. It stands in the very heart of a mysterious forest, overgrown with impassable plants that hide the criminals' lair from prying eyes. Every day she has to witness the anger of the robbers, who crave only to get rich at the expense of others.

Ronja is a very brave girl who is not at all afraid of hardship, because she grew up in such harsh conditions. One day she will have to set out on a long journey, where incredible adventures and new acquaintances await her. Friends will be the greatest surprise of all for the girl, as she is very sociable and dreams of always having loyal companions by her side. The forest paths hold many secrets, and she will set out along them together with another child just like her, trying to get as much joy as possible out of the adventure.
