Mechanical Marie

Arthur, the heir to the Zetes Corporation, has grown to hate people after years of assassination attempts ordered from inside his own family. To keep him alive and calm, his butler Roy hires Marie, a broke but terrifyingly capable martial artist, and places her in the mansion as Arthur’s «mechanical» maid. The catch is that she is not a robot at all, and if Arthur or his enemies learn the truth, her life is over. Marie forces her face into a blank doll mask, follows orders with perfect timing, and quietly intercepts every attack that slips past security. The longer she stays, the harder it gets to maintain the lie, because Arthur starts trusting her more than anyone, and Marie’s feelings keep leaking through the cracks she tries to seal.
