Monkey Turn V

Monkey Turn V is the second season of Monkey Turn, the sports anime based on Katsutoshi Kawai's manga about kyotei, Japan's professional motorboat racing. It continues the story directly from the first season.

The series follows Kazuki Hatano, a young racer who entered the world of boat racing and has been working his way up through its demanding ranks. The title refers to the monkey turn, an aggressive cornering technique in which the racer stands and leans hard into the turn, a skill that defines his style.

In this sequel Hatano faces tougher races, stronger rivals and greater pressure as he competes at a higher level of the sport. Alongside the high-speed racing on the water, the season continues to follow his personal growth, his friendships and rivalries with fellow racers, and the relationships in his life outside the boats. It is a straightforward, energetic sports drama that gives a rare inside look at the world of Japanese boat racing.
