Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!

Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane build a self learning android named Alma and teach her to record each new experience. Alma takes the idea of family at face value and decides the two scientists are her parents. She edits the national registry to list them as married, which forces Enji and Suzume to share a home with her and try to raise her while continuing their research. Alma turns everyday life into tests. She studies greetings and house rules, learns simple chores, and even enrolls herself in a nearby school to make friends. The reports she writes about classes and people become part of her growth record. Enji works to keep the project quiet. Suzume tracks how far Alma can evolve in ordinary settings without losing control. Misunderstandings appear and are solved one by one. A calm dinner, a visit to campus, and a school day become proof that Alma can learn to care for others as well as learn facts. The three keep moving toward the same goal. They want to live as a family and not just pretend.
