Chainsmoker Cat

Yani is a catgirl whose life revolves around her next cigarette. Her apartment reeks of smoke, her rent is overdue, and every part-time job ends before she can get her finances under control. She occasionally tries to quit, but the cravings break her resolve almost immediately and send her back to the habit that is making every other problem worse. Yani's friends and younger sister have not abandoned her, even as their concern grows and each rescue attempt creates another mess. They find her work, push her to clean up, and try to make her think seriously about what comes next. Yani keeps stumbling through landlords, failed jobs, and daily disasters beside other adults with problems of their own, forced to choose again and again between the easy comfort of a cigarette and the difficult work of changing her future.
