Takopi's Original Sin

Takopi is a cheerful alien from Happy Planet who lands on Earth with one simple rule: make someone smile and go home. He meets Shizuka Kuze, a quiet fourth grader carrying bruises she refuses to explain, and decides she will be his first success. Takopi brings out harmless looking gadgets that can fix small problems, but Shizuka’s life is shaped by bullying, neglect, and choices that do not have easy undo buttons. When Takopi uses time rewinding tech to try again and again, each reset scrambles relationships and pushes new people into the fallout, including Shizuka’s tormentor Marina Kirarazaka and classmate Naoki Azuma. Takopi keeps insisting there must be a happy answer, yet every attempt to force one makes the truth uglier, until he has to learn what responsibility means when you cannot erase pain without creating more.
