You're Under Arrest (1996)

You're Under Arrest is the TV series that continues the OVA based on Kosuke Fujishima's manga about two policewomen in Tokyo.

Natsumi Tsujimoto and Miyuki Kobayakawa get off to a bad start: on her way to her first day at work, Natsumi is pulled over by Miyuki for reckless driving on her moped. Things get even more awkward when they find out they are going to be partners in the traffic division of Bokuto Precinct.

The two could hardly be more different. Natsumi is impulsive and incredibly strong, while Miyuki is a calm, gifted mechanic who drives a heavily modified mini patrol car. Together they patrol the streets of Tokyo, chasing reckless drivers and dealing with all kinds of strange criminals.

Back at the precinct, bashful but handsome officers and an eccentric group of colleagues add to the fun, and the cutest girl in the office turns out not to be a girl at all. The series is a lighthearted mix of comedy, action and everyday police work.
