AD Police Files

In 2027, the city of MegaTokyo, shimmering with bright lights, has risen again after a devastating earthquake that wiped old Tokyo off the face of the earth two years earlier. In this new metropolis, cyborgs known as boomers have become an integral part of daily life, used for both industrial and military purposes. Their integration into society is far from smooth, however: boomers frequently go out of control, leading to tragic consequences and loss of human life. In such cases the AD Police step in, an elite unit capable of handling these dangerous incidents.

Leon McNichol, a new recruit to the AD Police, and his experienced partner Gina Marceau confront MegaTokyo's crime every day. They watch as the boundary between human and machine is gradually erased. In this world where technology and humanity are intertwined, Leon and Gina struggle not only against rampaging cyborgs but also against their own doubts about what it means to be human in an age when robots are becoming more and more like us.
