The Five Star Stories

In a world spread across the Joker Cluster, known as the Five Star system, an endless struggle for power rages between kingdoms and empires. These lands combine feudal traditions with advanced technology, and the main weapons in their wars are giant robots. To control them, pilots need the help of special gynoid girls called fatimas, who possess paranormal abilities. To keep the fatimas in check, emotional and intellectual restraints are implanted in them, after which, at special auctions, each fatima chooses a pilot whom she will serve for the rest of her life.

However, Lachesis and Clotho, the last creations of the terminally ill Dr. Ballanche, differ from other fatimas. The doctor chose not to install restraints in them, leaving them free. Now their fate depends on Ballanche's friend, the robot master Ladios Sopp, with whom Lachesis has been in love since childhood. But how can an ordinary young man stand against the laws of the empire? Then again, everyone has their own secrets, and who knows what surprises may lie ahead.
