Daisy: A Hen into the Wild

Daisy isn't particularly happy with her lot in life; she has long dreamed of becoming a caring mother and raising a tiny chick of her own. The only way to make her dream come true is to escape, but breaking out of a poultry farm is no simple matter. The hen decides to fake her own death so that she will be sent off for disposal, and from there she could slip away unnoticed. Once she has passed out, the farmer tosses her body into a bin. Everything works out just as Daisy planned, and now all that remains is to get out of the trap. Her new home becomes a barnyard, where she finds an egg belonging to a family of ducks. She lovingly begins to sit on the egg, and when her little son hatches, she becomes a good mother to him, finally living the life she had dreamed of for so long.
