Five Numbers!

In an alternate future where the Soviet Union never collapsed, an artificial satellite orbits the Earth, converted by the Coalition government into a prison for the most dangerous criminals. Suddenly the satellite malfunctions and begins falling toward the Earth. Because of a power failure, the cell doors open and the prisoners awaken from suspended animation. None of them remember how they got there, but they are all united in their desire to escape the doomed station.

The prisoners are a motley crew: a hacker girl who crashed the world stock exchange, a marriage swindler who loves casinos, a former government engineer caught embezzling budget funds, an old scientist with dangerous research and his cat, and a mysterious young man who answers everything with just "yeah." Gradually they realize that the prison is connected to them by more than just their crimes. In its shape and in the numbers on its rooms and prisoners, the station resembles a game of Russian roulette, in which the cat plays a key role in the survival of this band of five scoundrels.
