Horimiya: The Missing Pieces

At school Kyouko Hori seems like the girl everyone envies: pretty, sociable and nearly flawless. Yet after classes she hurries home to cook, clean and look after her little brother Souta. Izumi Miyamura looks like a gloomy, unremarkable boy in glasses, but outside school he wears piercings, hides tattoos and turns out to be far kinder and warmer than anyone would guess. Their chance meeting became the start of a closeness built on trust, awkwardness and the fear of being seen for who they really are.

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces does not bring a new big drama but returns to days that were left between the lines. It is a mosaic of school life where what matters is not only confessions and turning points but how the heroes act on trips, argue over trifles, get jealous, fool around and make up. As graduation approaches, Toru, Yuki, Sengoku, Remi, Sakura, Iura and the rest of the class each add their own shades to the story, from comedic chaos to quiet moments when one chance word means more than a long talk. Every piece adds to a portrait of a time the friends are only beginning to truly cherish.
