Yato takes odd jobs while Hiyori tries to balance school, friends, and the problem of her soul slipping free. Bishamon keeps too many regalia and blight spreads in her house. Kugaha schemes inside her ranks, turns Aiha against her, and pushes Bishamon to hunt Yato. Kazuma asks Yato to stop the collapse and the fight crashes through the manor. Yato cuts down corrupted spirits to save Bishamon from the blight. Yukine breaks protecting his god and is reforged into a Blessed Vessel. Bishamon learns the truth about her past clan and ends the feud with Yato. Kugaha is exposed and captured.
Ebisu buys phantoms to study and control them. The heavens call it a crime and move to execute him. Yato is kidnapped by his so called father and sent on murder jobs with Nora while Hiyori loses her memories after her tail is cut. Friends restore her and she builds a small shrine for Yato that gives him a clear name and purpose. Yato and Yukine descend to the underworld to free Ebisu from Izanami and escape together. The heavens still judge Ebisu and he dies, then returns as a new child god. Yato rejects Nora, vows to be a god who brings happiness, and starts walking toward that future with Hiyori and Yukine at his side.
