No Game, No Life Specials

These picture drama specials were included on the Blu-ray and DVD volumes of No Game No Life. Rather than fully animated episodes, they are short bonus pieces told through illustrations and voice acting, following the cast of the main series in lighthearted extra scenes.

The series centers on Sora and Shiro, a pair of reclusive step-siblings who form the legendary undefeated gamer duo known as Blank. After beating a mysterious challenger at chess, they are summoned by the god Tet to Disboard, a world where all conflict, from personal disputes to the fate of nations, is settled through games. There they set out to raise humanity, the weakest of the sixteen races, from the bottom and ultimately challenge the god himself.

The specials revisit the siblings and their companions, such as Stephanie Dola and Jibril, in comedic situations away from the high-stakes games of the main story, offering fans a little more time with the characters.
