Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage

Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage is a collection of short stories set in the world of Ranking of Kings, where monarchs are ranked by the wealth of their nations, the strength of their armies and their own personal might. Its tagline promises that a treasure chest of unspoken courage is about to be opened.

The shorts revisit past moments in the lives of the series' cast, showing instances of courage and personal growth that were left untold in the main story. At the center stands Bojji, the deaf prince of the Kingdom of Bosse, too physically weak even to wield a proper sword yet possessing a kind and unbreakable spirit, along with his loyal friend Kage, the last survivor of the Shadow Clan, who was the first to truly understand him.

Around them gather the people whose fates are intertwined with the prince: his stepmother Queen Hiling, his half-brother Daida, the warriors who serve the royal family, the masters who trained Bojji and the dwellers of the underworld. Each episode sheds light on a different character, revealing the doubts, choices and quiet acts of bravery that shaped who they became.
