They Are My Noble Masters

Siblings Ren and Mihato Uesugi, poor but full of pride, leave their hard-drinking father behind in the remote countryside and set off for the big city in hopes of a better life. On arrival they are forced to split up to look for work. Ren, honest and brave, immediately comes to the aid of a blonde girl with two long twin tails and a carefree attitude toward life. This is how their path to the home of the three Kuonji sisters begins, where the pair end up taking jobs as servants.

In the Kuonji household, the eldest sister Shinra loves to manipulate those around her and has no hang-ups whatsoever. The middle sister Miyu has an IQ of 240 and a university-level education, yet looks far younger than her age. The youngest, Yume, is a schoolgirl who dreams of standing out next to her brilliant older sisters. The estate is already home to a stern butler, a hot-tempered maid and a loyal bodyguard, and together they form one big, close-knit family. Going through plenty of trials and comic misadventures, Mihato and Ren find their place in this new family, running into every possible cliche of the masters-and-servants genre along the way, along with plenty of references to other anime and Japanese history.
