Goodbye, Lara

Lara is a mermaid princess who falls in love with a human prince she has watched from the sea. She trades her voice for legs so she can reach him, but the bargain is cruel, if she fails to win his love, she will vanish with the sunrise. The promise collapses and Lara dies, yet her story does not end. She is reborn in modern Japan, still carrying the ache of that first love and the fear of losing herself again. In a coastal town she meets a man named Kei who looks like the prince, and the encounter reopens everything she tried to bury. Lara chases a second chance at love while trying to stay human, in body and in heart, this time. Kei is not a simple replacement, and Lara quickly learns that repeating the past will only break her again. She has to figure out what love means when you cannot rely on a fairy tale script, and whether a heart that once drowned can learn to live on land without disappearing.
