False Memory

When the world around you stops matching what you remember, you start doubting everything, including yourself. Somewhere in that crack between what is real and what was rewritten, «Bug Men» can twist memories so cleanly that a lie feels like your own past. The Memory Collectors move in to restore order, hunting the distortion and pulling people back from a life built on edits. But their work is not gentle. Fixing a memory can also erase a comfort, expose a guilt, or break a bond that only existed because someone’s mind was bent. The more a case unravels, the harder it gets to tell whether the threat is the Bug Man, the system chasing him, or the human need to keep a beautiful falsehood intact.
