Whispered Words

Whispered Words is a gentle romantic comedy about two high school girls and the feelings one of them cannot bring herself to confess.

Sumika Murasame is popular at school, admired for her excellent grades and her athletic ability, and she is also a skilled martial artist. Yet she hides a secret that she has never told anyone: she is in love with her classmate and best friend, Ushio Kazama. Ironically, Ushio herself is openly fond of love between girls and has a weakness for cute girls, but she has never noticed Sumika's feelings. Instead, she keeps falling for other girls, confessing to them and being turned down time after time, and then turning to Sumika for comfort.

Caught between her loyalty as a friend and the love she is afraid to reveal, Sumika stays by Ushio's side, listening to her heartbreaks while wondering whether she will ever be able to put her own feelings into words without ruining the friendship they share. Around them, a circle of classmates with complicated hearts of their own adds both humor and tenderness to the story.
