Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods

Gintarou is a fox spirit, a messenger of the gods who has watched over a small Inari shrine since the Edo period. The family of Makoto Saeki, which looks after the shrine, possesses the power to see the gods' messenger, but the ability can be held by only one living relative at a time. When Makoto's mother passed away while Makoto was still young, she inherited the ability as the sole remaining member of the family able to receive it.

Now a high school student and the daughter of the shrine's priest, Makoto shares her daily life with the grumpy, rather lazy old fox, who can sense glimpses of what lies ahead. Despite their many differences, the two make an unlikely but devoted team. With the help of the fox spirit's power, Makoto and Gintarou help the people of their community with their everyday worries, offering advice and a gentle push rather than miracles.

Gingitsune is a quiet, warm slice-of-life drama about the bond between people and the divine, and about the small kindnesses that hold a community together.
