AkaKill! Theater

AkaKill! Theater is a series of short comedic specials that aired on the official website of Akame ga Kill!, the dark fantasy action series based on the manga by Takahiro and Tetsuya Tashiro.

The main series follows Tatsumi, a young swordsman from a remote village who travels to the Capital hoping to earn money for his impoverished home. There he discovers that the Empire is rotten to the core, ruled from the shadows by a corrupt Prime Minister, and he ends up joining Night Raid, a group of assassins working for the Revolutionary Army. Its members, such as Akame, Leone, Mine, Sheele, Bulat and Lubbock, each wield a Teigu, a powerful ancient weapon, and fight against the Empire's forces, including the formidable General Esdeath.

In stark contrast to the brutal and often tragic tone of the original, the Theater shorts present the cast in light, chibi-style gag skits, poking fun at the characters' personalities and running jokes. They are a playful bonus for fans of the series.
