The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior OVA: First Time

This unaired episode of The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior was included with the seventh Blu-ray and DVD volume of the series. It returns to the Kawai Complex, the boarding house where high school freshman Kazunari Usa moved in hoping to start a quiet new life on his own.

Instead of peace, Usa found himself surrounded by a cast of eccentric housemates: the masochistic Shirosaki, the lovelorn office lady Mayumi, the scheming Sumiko and, most importantly, Ritsu Kawai, the quiet bookworm upperclassman he has fallen for. Ritsu rarely shows her feelings and prefers her novels to people, which makes every attempt Usa makes to get closer to her a small adventure of its own.

Like the TV series, this bonus episode is a light romantic comedy built on everyday life in the boarding house, the residents' constant teasing and the slow, awkward progress of Usa's feelings.
