Phantom in the Twilight

In the heart of Britain, in modern-day London, there is a mysterious place known as Café Forbidden. What makes it so unusual is that it opens its doors only at midnight, once the sun has long set. In this world, creatures called Shadows are born from human fear and anxiety.

Young and ambitious Ton Baiyu arrives in the city to study abroad. Her heart has long been drawn to London, since this is where her great-grandmother once lived and studied, and she is determined to pursue her dreams and gain the education she needs for the profession she longs for.

But as soon as she enters university, something inexplicable happens: she is caught up in a bizarre incident and her belongings vanish as if by magic. Alone in a city where she knows no one, helpless and frightened, she sets out to find what she has lost and wanders into Café Forbidden, where she meets its handsome and enigmatic staff. It soon becomes clear that her new acquaintances are not ordinary people at all, but guardians who protect the boundary between humans and Shadows, keeping the balance between modern London and the otherworld that exists right beside it.
