The Garden of Sinners Remix: Gate of Seventh Heaven

The Garden of Sinners Remix: Gate of Seventh Heaven is a compilation that re-edits footage from the Garden of Sinners film series, the dark supernatural saga based on Kinoko Nasu's novel Kara no Kyoukai, into a single short feature, offering a condensed, atmospheric journey through the story of its two central characters.

In August of 1995, Mikiya Kokutou meets a young kimono-clad woman named Shiki Ryougi. When he learns that they attend the same school, he tries to befriend her. Although her upbringing is unconventional and she herself is strange, Mikiya is not deterred, and Shiki gradually opens up to him. But this simple meeting will change Mikiya's life forever in ways he never imagined, as he begins to glimpse a deadly side to his new friend. Shiki possesses the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which let her see the lines of death in all things, and she is drawn into a series of bizarre and violent incidents alongside the enigmatic magus Touko Aozaki, while Mikiya remains her steady, devoted anchor to the ordinary world.
