Leviathan

Deryn Sharp refuses to accept the life picked for her, so she cuts her hair, takes a boy’s name, and slips into the British air service. Aleksandar is forced to run with only a small loyal crew, carrying a title that makes him a target and a truth that could get everyone killed. Around them, a divided war pits engineered beasts against cold metal war machines, and nobody can afford to look weak for even a moment. Their separate escapes collide with the Leviathan, a living airship grown from bioengineered creatures and treated like a national weapon. Aboard it, Deryn has to hold her disguise under constant scrutiny, while Alek learns how quickly allies become bargains. When the airship’s mission pulls them across borders and into traps set by both sides, they are pushed into choices that can protect a few people today or light the fuse on a much larger catastrophe. Neither can afford blind trust, yet they keep choosing it.
