Tawawa on Monday Specials

Tawawa on Monday Specials are two bonus episodes of Getsuyoubi no Tawawa included on the Blu-ray release. They are titled "Ukkarimono daga Aisare Jouzu no Kawaii Kouhai" ("The Clumsy but Lovable Cute Junior") and "Ai-chan to Private Film" ("Ai-chan and a Private Film").

The series is based on Kiseki Himura's illustrations, originally posted on Twitter every Monday to give working people something to look forward to at the start of the week. Its central figure is Ai, a cheerful and well-endowed high school girl who regularly rides the same crowded morning train as a tired young salaryman. After he helps her out one day, he becomes her protector on the packed commute, and the two form a sweet, slightly awkward bond.

Like the main series, the specials are composed of short, lighthearted vignettes. The first focuses on a clumsy but endearing junior coworker at the office, while the second centers on Ai-chan, continuing the anthology's gentle, comedic slice-of-life tone.
