The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies

Mira serves as the lieutenant and strategist of an evil organization that attacks Earth under the Evil King. He is efficient, feared by his own side, and expected to eliminate any magical girl who interferes. Byakuya Mimori is the one sent to stop him, fighting as Glass Happiness while living an ordinary life that is far less bright than her role suggests. Their first confrontation should be a clean battle between enemy and defender, but Mira falls in love with her immediately. Instead of planning her defeat, he begins creating reasons to meet her again, bringing gifts, softening attacks, and turning reports to his superiors into excuses. Byakuya notices the change, yet she does not push him away because his kindness reaches a part of her life that usually receives very little of it.

Their meetings keep happening between attacks, work, and orders from forces that do not care what either of them wants. Byakuya’s familiar treats her badly and uses her magical girl duty for its own gain, while Mira’s organization expects him to remain ruthless and useful. The two still stand on opposite sides, but each encounter makes that line harder to defend. Mira tries to protect Byakuya without openly betraying his post, and Byakuya accepts moments of care while knowing he is technically her enemy. Other magical girls, subordinates, and strange messengers complicate the fragile routine they build. The story follows two people trapped inside roles written for conflict, one as a weapon of justice and one as an officer of evil, who keep choosing small acts of tenderness that neither side’s rules can easily explain.
