Clevatess

A group of heroes marches to slay Clevatess, one of the Four Beast Kings, and the attempt ends in catastrophe. Clevatess kills the attackers, devastates a kingdom, and then finds a royal baby left behind in the ruins. Instead of finishing the job, he takes the infant into his care to study humanity more closely. He resurrects one of the fallen heroes, Alicia Glenfall, binding her as an undead servant so she can help keep the child alive. To move among humans, Clevatess disguises himself as a boy named Clen, hiding his true nature while watching how people react to the child in his arms. With revenge seekers and opportunists closing in, Alicia has to protect the baby under orders from the monster who killed her allies, and the uneasy trio becomes a target for anyone who wants the baby as a symbol or a weapon. The baby is named Luna, and keeping her fed, safe, and hidden becomes the problem that ties their fates together.
