Oblivion Battery

Haruka Kiyomine and Kei Kaname used to be the kind of middle school battery that made entire lineups feel hopeless before the game even started. Haruka has the arm and the confidence, Kei has the game sense and the leadership, and together they set the bar so high that other talented kids quit rather than keep chasing it. Taro Yamada is one of those kids. He leaves baseball behind and chooses Kotesashi High specifically because it has no baseball club, no pressure, and no ghosts from the past. Then he runs into Haruka and Kei again, and the reunion is not the triumphant rematch he imagined.
