Gushing over Magical Girls

Utena Hiiragi is a shy, introverted girl who adores magical girls so much that her admiration is almost a private religion, especially when it comes to the trio protecting her town, Tres Magia. When a mascot named Venalita appears, Utena believes she is finally being invited into the dream she has built in her head, but the «gift» twists instantly into something she never asked for. Instead of becoming a hero, she is turned into an executive of the villain organization Enormita, forced into direct conflict with the very girls she worships from a distance. At first it feels like a cruel joke, a role she cannot escape, but the situation exposes a side of Utena that frightens her even more than the fights do: she discovers she enjoys pushing boundaries, testing control, and humiliating her idols, not because she hates them, but because obsession has turned into a compulsive need to dominate what she loves. The battles become warped mirrors of admiration and envy, where Utena’s fixation keeps dragging her closer to Tres Magia even as she attacks them, and her identity splits between the girl who collected memorabilia and the villain who cannot stop escalating. The story keeps its focus on that uncomfortable contradiction, showing how quickly a wish can curdle when power is handed to the wrong person at the wrong moment.
